    Review: Afro Samurai

Afro Samurai 18 cert played on XBOX 360

You play the character "Afro Samurai", who wears the number 2 head band. He wants the number 1 head band as this will give him true power, but to do this he must first find it and then defeat the guy that is wearing it.  Along the way you will come up against hench men, end of level baddies and various collectibles.

Samuel L Jackson lends his voice to one of the characters who guides you around the game.

The graphics are excellent, and the animation is really close to an anime style.

However, the camera angles are so off putting that you end up feeling frustrated when in mass battle with 10 guys surrounding you and the camera constantly showing your back.  You can use move the camera around but this takes time and get tiresome pretty quickly.

A lot of button mashing and trigger flicking is required to defeat your foes and invisible walls block your exit or advancement if you venture too far from the playing / fighting area.

This title to us is a disappointment and we are happy that we rented and not purchased this game.

To each their own though, you may like this, but we would say download the demo, borrow or rent before buying to see if you can get on with the camera work.
