MAG Beta now commencing |
| For those of you that are looking forward to MAG, and have signed up for the Beta test stage, Well Beta emails are being sent out to those that have requested to be eligible. The emails are not advise that not everyone has been accepted, but that they will be introducing new players in waves. MAG is deemed the online shooter of all time with a massive 256 players battling it out. So far the largest is 64 player i.e. 32v32, this will be 128v128 and may just tip the balance in to the PS3 favour for online shooter fans. With the advent of Beta testing, it will allow Zipper Interactive to stress test their servers hopefully enabling 256 players to play happily together without the lagggggg. If you do get into the beta, then let us know your views. |

New Team Fortress 2 update (updated) |
| Day two sees the arrival of news that the "Classless" update for TF2 will introduce a new game mode "King of the Hill" "there is only a single point on the map that must be captured by both teams. It starts off locked, but once it's opened and captured by one team, a timer begins counting down from 3 minutes. Should the opposing team captures it, their timer will begin counting down while the other team's timer will stop." A new map "Viaduct" will be included in the update Both Nucleus and Sawmill will be adapted so that the new "King of the Hill" mode will work with them. It looks like the update will be arriving sometime next week. We will bring you more news as it happens. |

GTA4 Lost and Damned DLC Price Reduction |
| August 24 2009 will see the GTA4 DLC - Lost and Damned price dropped for Gold Members by $5 as Microsoft will make it their "Deal of the Week". This offer will only be open to Gold Members of XBOX Live and will only last for the 1 weeks duration. You will need an original copy of GTA4 to be able to play this DLC. This may just whet players appetites for the next GTA4 DLC installment "The Ballad of Gay Tony", which is due to be released before this year is over. |

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 DLC Update |
| Infinity Ward announced earlier in the week that the soon to be released Modern Warfare 2 will have 2 DLC packs. It now seems like fans may get more if they shout load enough. Here it what was said by Robert Bowling the Community Manager for Infinity Ward in an email to MTV. "As far as DLC goes, we love it and plan to support Modern Warfare 2 heavily with post-launch support," he said. "We've confirmed we'll be doing at least two map packs which were announced at E3 as a timed exclusive for the Xbox 360. The fact that we confirmed at least two map packs doesn't mean there won't be more; honestly we plan on shaping our DLC based on community feedback from the full game, and the first two DLC map packs. Therefore, the community will really determine what comes after that." Sounds like a challenge to us. |

CAPCOM 3 Pack Coming to XBOX 360 |
| CAPCOM are due to release a triple pack of games for the 360. You will be able to get Dead Rising, Devil May Cry 4 and Lost Planet all for £39.99 Entitled "The Platinum Pack" we should see release sometime in September 2009 for US, no plans to release in Europe at present. This pack does sound like a bargain for those that do not have these classic games in their collections. |
